UX/UI Design One
Workbench is a 3D printer companion app that provides simple functions of a 3D printer such as starting prints, pausing, downloading .stl files, saving .stl files, powering the printer on and off, adding/removing devices, viewing print cameras, receiving notifications, and changing print queues.
Icon System, Typography & Color
Icons mimic the square and ridged typeface, IBM Plex Sans.
Other illustrative icons were chosen for their simplicity and clarity.
Four simple colors indicating the state of being active, cancelling an action, and buttons.
Drafting & Wireframing
Initial wireframes for Workbench had fewer features. Designing the architecture of the app in this way allowed for me to add features as the idea of the app developed over time.
